Almost 70 young people are set to recieve a prestigious award next week.
Selected students from senior schools and clubs in Epping Forest will receive a Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Award at St James Hawkey Hall in Woodford Green, on July 7.
The event is set to honour achievement award winners aged 11-25 who will receive medallions, a framed certificate and a cheque for £200.
Each of the 69 winners, who were selected for their work in the community between September and June, were nominated by their peers and leaders.
Seven adults will also receive Leader Awards after demonstrating an ability to motivate young people.
They will receive a medallion and a framed certificate.
Founder, Jack Petchey CBE, 89, said: “I am passionate about our awards scheme which enables young people to be recognised, valued and rewarded for their achievements and positive contributions to society.”
