People wishing to pay their respects to the victims of Friday’s tragic terror attacks in Tunisia, France and Kuwait can sign a book of condolence at Waltham Forest Town Hall from today.

Waltham Forest council has organised the memorial to the victims of what the council leader called “sickening attacks on innocent people”.

It is feared that about 30 UK citizens were killed at the resort near Sousse, Tunisia but only 18 have so far been confirmed among the dead.

Tunisian authorities have arrested several people on suspicion of helping the gunman, Seifeddine Rezgui, who had links to the jihadist group Islamic State (IS).

Council Leader Chris Robbins said: “These sickening attacks have tragically claimed the lives of dozens of innocent people, all of whom are in our thoughts. Our deepest condolences go out to all of the families and friends who lost loved ones.”

Anyone wanting to sign the book or leave a message of respect can do so from 9am to 5pm at the Town Hall in Forest Road, Walthamstow.

People have been given access the building during the weekend.
