A busy station has now re-opened following an earlier fire alert.
London's Liverpool Street was closed and evacuated this morning, affected services on the Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metroplitan Line.
Transport for London (TFL) reported the closure just before 7.30am, but a spokeswoman for London Fire Brigade said no crews had attended the station.
TfL have now said trains are running on all routes out of Liverpool St but delays could be expected.
The fire alert did not appear to affect London's Overground network to Chingford, Enfield Town or Chestnut.
Liverpool Street has now re-opened to the @circleline @hamandcityline @metline and @centralline
