Three brothers from Leytonstone have launched an ethical online business promoting independent retailers to fair-trade fashion lovers.

Tevin Kittoe and brothers T-Rone and TJ were inspired to bring ‘indie’ brands together on their online store Mister Kittoe, when they discovered more about the darker side of the industry.

The trio pooled their expertise from media, fashion and business backgroundsto create a space for affordable fashion with completely ethical labels.

Tevin, 22, said: “We believe in doing business in a good way. When we were researching we were shocked at the things we found out about sweat shops and the treatment of some people. We saw how big of a problem it is.

“We want to get small designers out there, and promote their amazing work.

“So we launched our site.”

Mister Kittoe launched on May 2 and stocks clothes from ten designers.

Every brand is sourced and checked to ensure their stock is created in an ethical way.

Tevin comes from a fashion background T-rone, 20, a business background and TJ, 18, studied media.

Just months after being inspired to go into business together, the site is already seeing success.

“These are clothes that aren’t on a huge production line, the designers put their products their full attention,” Tevin added.

“Some of the products are handmade.

“It is going really well. We are building up and reaching out to more brands.

“Fashionable customers can use the site to get ethically made, stylish clothes.

“We are trying to push the indie look, not necessarily mainstream fashion.”
