Two people have been arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and more vehicles may have been targeted by thieves, say Essex Police.

A 17-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man were arrested in Loughton in the early hours of Tuesday (June 30).

Police were called at around 3.15am to reports that two people were breaking into a car in Colebrook Lane.

The two suspects from Loughton were arrested and taken to Harlow Police station for questioning and later released on police bail until August 20.

Officers believe that other vehicles in the area may also have been broken into that night and ask that anyone who believes their property has been stolen to get in touch.
