A CCTV appeal has been launched after a woman was left bruised following an attack during a screening of Jurassic World.

The man pictured is wanted in connection with actual bodily harm (ABH) at Empire Cinema in High Street, Walthamstow, on June 12.

The woman, aged in her early 20s, dropped her phone while watching the film and could not find it.

She believed the man sitting behind (pictured) had picked it up, and therefore challenged him.

He became aggressive, punched the woman and then walked out.

The woman leaves to report it to staff and then returns to her seat and finds her phone.

She suffered bruising during the attack.

The CCTV image released by Waltham Forest police shows the man being escorted off the premises by a female security guard.

Jurassic World opened across the UK on June 12 and is so far the highest-grossing UK film since the release of Skyfall in 2012.

Empire Cinemas has been approached for a comment.

Anyone with information about the incident should call 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via crimestoppers-uk.org quoting the reference number 4911706/15.
