A man will appear in court today accused of murder.

Hysni Avdyli, 43, of Greenleaf Road, Walthamstow, was arrested on April 17 and charged the following day with the murder of 34-year-old Asim Marku.

Marku was stabbed to death at Dolce Vita bar and restaurant in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, at 9.50pm on April 16. Witnesses described seeing a large brawl in the street before Mr Marku was fatally wounded.

Marku was believed to have had a six-month-old daughter at the time of his death.

Detactives believe the 34-year-old's death could be connected to an earlier altercation at Rio's Cafe in Hoe Street, Walthamstow, at approximately 6pm.

Avdyli appeared at the Old Bailey on April 22 and will appear in the same court this morning.
