An air ambulance was scrambled yesterday after a man collapsed in a street.
Two ambulances, an air ambulance, police and an ambulance officer attended the scene in Brooker Road, Waltham Abbey at around 2.10pm following reports of a man in his 40s collapsing near Town Mead Park.
The man had gone into cardiac arrest when crews arrived.
Paramedics treated the man, who was unconcious and not breathing, at the scene.
He was later taken by land ambulance to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow in a critical condition.
