An artist is asking residents to help choose what colour they want to see projected on to the William Morris Gallery to close a free festival.
The Magic Carpet is a new animated projection work by local artist Zarah Hussain which will light up the back of the Forest Road gallery at dusk on Saturday (July 18) to close day one of the Walthamstow Garden Party.
Influenced by William Morris’ love and admiration of Islamic carpet design, the geometric projection will cover the gallery's exterior with a constantly changing pattern of light.
