A second man has been charged in connection with a shooting on an estate earlier this month.
Police were called to a house in Limes Avenue, Chigwell, on July 11 at shortly after 10pm to reports of a shooting.
A man in his 20s was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.
Kyiese Waithe, 21, of Queens Road, west London, was arrested on Friday (July 17) and charged with possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Saturday and has been remanded in custody.
Police have also charged Daniel Edmondson, 23, of Copperfield, Chigwell, with possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on September 21.
The gunshot victim remains in a stable condition in hospital.
