A couple has rescheduled a public open day for their award-winning garden to raise funds for a hospice after yesterday's rain.
A £2.50 tour of Mark Hacker and Maureen Keating's garden in 254 Ashurst Drive, Barkingside, took place yesterday (July 26) afternoon but the pair did not reach their £500 target for St Francis Hospice in Romford.
Mr Hacker, 70, and partner Ms Keating, 68, have a model village, railway, stream and waterfall in the garden which made the last four final of the Daily Mail National Garden Award last year.
The new date in 1pm to 5pm on August 9.
