A family have paid tribute to a teenager who collapsed and died as she celebrated the last day of school with her best friends.

Isabelle Tudisca, also known as 'Issy' of Buckhurst Hill, collapsed at a house in Connington Crescent, Chingford, on July 22.

Police were called by paramedics to the house shortly before 7pm and the 14-year-old was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem into her death came back as inconclusive and the family now await the results of a toxicology report, which could take up to six weeks for the result.

It is understood she had been at a party at the house when she stopped breathing.

Today, her family paid tribute to her, describing her as an "angel" and a "gift from God".

"Issy was a beautiful and vibrant young lady who had everything to live for and who sadly passed away whilst celebrating the end of school year with her best friends.

"Issy had a flair for English literature, drama and played an active role in all areas of the performing arts.

"Issy was much loved by her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all of us.

"We regarded Issy as a gift from God and now, like the angel she is, she has gone back to God's kingdom.

"We would ask that our privacy be respected at what is a very difficult time"

Police are treating her death as unexplained and it is being investigated by officers from Waltham Forest police.

Neighbours in Connington Crescent reacted in shock.
