A new display cabinet showcasing historical finds from an ancient forest has opened at a visitor's centre.
The 'cabinet of curiosities' at The View in Rangers Road, Chingford, was donated by the City of London Historical Society.
It will showcase a variety of museum collections on Epping Forest as a part of a rolling programme of exhibitions.
The first exhibition features findings from Gifford Wood, a 30-acre forest in Upshire, and includes shells from the Second World War, clay pipes, a Victorian pocket watch and a medieval ring.
