A stolen car overturned after colliding with a parked vehicle this morning (August 19), with police searching for the driver.
Police were called at 9.35am today to reports of the crash in Buckhurst Hill, on the junction with Bush Road, Woodford Green.
Witnesses reported that the driver of the overturned car managed to free himself from the vehicle, he appeared uninjured and walked away from the scene.
Both the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade attended the scene as a precaution.
The driver was described as a black man in his 20s.
The silver VW Polo was reported stolen from Loughton earlier today.
Officers from Redbridge assisted by officers from the Dog Support Unit carried out a search of the area but could not locate the man.
Enquiries continue.
