Woodbridge High School students are looking towards the prospect of university as they received their GCSEs this morning (August 20).
A total of 73 per cent of grades were from A* to C and 25 per cent were A* to A at the school in St Barnabas Road, Woodford Green.

Gabriel Nelson got five A* grades and six A grades and is aiming to get into a Russell Group university.
He said: “I am a competitive person so I wanted to do really well.
“I worked really hard so I am happy with my results, it makes me want to work even harder for A-Levels.
“University is definitely an aim for me but I am still deciding what subject.”
Chelsea Brown achieved 10 A* grades and two A grades, including in Russian, and she is staying at Woodbridge for sixth form.
“I am shocked with my results because I was really nervous when taking my exams, and one in particular I was not confident about how I had done,” she said.
“My parents will be so happy, I am just about to phone them.”

Headteacher Andrew Beaumont said: “Students are to be congratulated on their excellent results.
“They have performed strongly and can look forward to the next stage of their education.
“We look forward to welcoming the vast majority of them back to our sixth form, especially given our success at this level as well.
“I thank the students for their excellent attitude, their parents and the staff of this school.”
