Teenagers at an all girls school have celebrated a 100 per cent success rate in their sciences.
The Braeside School in High Road, Buckhurst Hill, students were 'overwhelmed' to discover that all pupils who took Biology, Chemistry and Physics had passed their GCSE examinations in the subjects.
The school, which saw 88 per cent of pupils gain five or more A* to C grades, also achieved a 100 per cent A* to C pass rate in Art, Drama and Geography.
Head Teacher Gillian Haddon said she was delighted with the 2015 results.
She said: “The girls worked so hard for their exams and deserved their grades.
"71 per cent of our pupils achieved nine or more A* to C grades and there were some excellent individual performances too with Dixa and Olivia achieving 16 A* or A grades between them.
"Against the national trends, most pupils out-performed their targets and I’m very grateful to Braeside’s team of excellent teachers whose dedication and support ensured that their pupils were prepared so thoroughly.
"Congratulations to all of our pupils.
"They are well-equipped to move on to the next stages of their education as they move to their choices of sixth form schools and colleges over the next few weeks."
