After banging on the window the intruder fled the garden.
An intruder fled the scene after being disturbed by a homeowner on Tuesday.
Police were called to the scene in Church Hill, Loughton, at around 3am on August 18 following reports of a resident witnessing an attempted burglary in their home.
The occupant of the property awoke at around 2.45am to see a figure wearing a hooded top in their back garden.
After banging on the window the intruder fled the garden.
No entry was gained into the property.
