An unemployed graduate landed a job at a major car dealership after selling his car to make some money.

Thomas Lynam, 23, from Chingford, graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in industrial design.

Soon after finishing his studies, he found himself out of work and struggling to make ends meets so he decided to sell his Vauxhall Corsa through WeWantAnyCar.com.

But after meeting with the branch manager Ben Gladstone, his potential and passion for cars quickly shone through and he was given the job of purchase manager.

From working in the Waltham Abbey, Brentwood and new Lakeside branch, Mr Lynam has bought over 1,000 cars, including an Aston martin DB9.

He said: "I was so happy to have graduated university, but soon found myself unemployed and struggling to find a job.

"I knew I didn’t want to sell my car privately having had a bad experience, and WeWantAnyCar.com offered me the best deal.

"I got chatting to the branch manager - we got straight down to the nitty gritty and he offered me £1,000 for my car."

Mr Gladstone, added: "It didn’t take long to see the fantastic potential in Thomas.

"He has a passion for cars, he is extremely friendly and I could see him being great with our customers.

"As a company, it’s great to find graduates who are as keen and engaged as Thomas."
