Two teenagers are in serious condition after being stabbed.

Police were called to the scene in George Lane, South Woodford, at around 11.50pm last night (August 31) following reports of a fight in the street.

Officers arrived at the scene to find two boys suffering from stab wounds.

One was located in George Lane and the other nearby in the Broadmead Estate area.

The teenagers, aged 16 and 18-years-old, were both taken to hospital.

They remain in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Redbridge CID are investigating.

Both the B168 northbound for Greater London and George Lane remain closed.

There has been no arrest at this stage.
