Footage has been released of the moment a woman is robbed of her bank card inside a Barclays store.
The woman in her 60s was targeted by the thief at Barclays in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, on June 4 at 11.50am.
The CCTV clip, recently released by Waltham Forest police, shows the man attempt to distract her with a piece of paper as he steals her bank card.
Minutes after the theft, two cash transactions totaling £750 are made.
Footage shows him stood in the background with his arms behind his back.
As the victim enters her PIN code, he moves his head from side-to-side to try and get a glimpse of the four-digit code.
He then takes a folded piece of paper out of his back pocket and walks straight up the victim where he covers the bank card slot and is seening leaning over her body.
Shes grabs his arm but he pulls free and leaves with her bank card.
Anyone who recognises him is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 4911020/15.
