A 40-year-old man has been arrested following an alleged robbery on the overpass over the A12.
An investigation is ongoing into the incident by detectives from Redbridge police.
The offence is alleged to have happened at 7.30pm on September 2 in Blake Hall Road, near the junction of Cambridge Park, Wanstead.
A 34-year-old man reported that he had been assaulted and robbed of his wallet.
Police taped off the opening to the pedestrian and cyclist pathway, next to the railings of the overpass.
The victim was taken to hospital but his injuries were not found to be serious and he was later discharged.
A man, 40, was later arrested in connection with the incident.
He is currently detained by police.
