A PETROL garage could be transformed into a housing development.
The Gulf store at 57 Blackhorse has been earmarked for development by GS8 which wants to transform it into a residential ‘block’.
Plans for the site include the erection of 21 homes, suitable for both single people and families with ‘high quality’ communal gardens.
The scheme also proposes 40 cycle spaces and two disabled parking spaces.
Designs also include floor-to-ceiling windows.
Artists in Waltham Forest will also be asked to enter a competition to design the entry gates to the property, at a later date.
Last week residents and business owners were given the chance to see and comment on plans at The Mill in Walthamstow.
Designs have not yet been completed and no planning permission has been requested yet.
