An art gallery is marking being back in business after an enforced closure with an event with its most popular artist.

The Stone Space gallery in Church Lane, has reopened after Leytonstone Library, with which it shares a building, underwent a £1.5 million refurbishment over the summer.

It’s current exhibition features Leytonstone resident and artist Sally Moore's show 'You never can tell' which has drawn the highest visitor numbers of any single artist at the gallery.

Project volunteer Elizabeth Davies said: “There has been fantastic support for the reopening of the Stone Space gallery and Sally's show has been immensely popular.

“The closure of the gallery due to the refurbishment works left a big hole in Leytonstone's cultural life. But Sally's magical story telling style has drawn the crowds to the prestigious reopening.”

The exhibition runs Thursday to Sunday and is free to visitors until it closes on October 4.

Sally will attend the gallery to answer any questions about the exhibition from 2pm to 4pm on the last day of the show.
