One-bedroom flat prices around Redbridge Tube station are the second cheapest across the whole Underground network, new research has revealed.

Website Thrillist has put together a London Underground map with the average rent at every Tube stop across the capital.

It shows the median cost, based on properties currently available to rent or for sale on Find Properly, of a one-bedroom flat within a kilometre of each station.

The median is the middle price when all are put in numerical order.

Redbridge and Barkingside Tube stations were both within the 10 cheapest across the whole of the network.

Redbridge, just one stop away from Wanstead, was named the second cheapest at £488, while Barkingside was tenth cheapest at £736 a month.

Prices near Loughton station were £1,384 and near Walthamstow Central station £1,136.

Overall, Hatton Cross was the cheapest at £324 a month, while Hyde Park Corner was the most expensive at £2,920.

Jason Allen, of Thrillist, said: “Because we all enjoy a little light masochism now and then, we've put together a full rent map of the capital, showing the average monthly cost for a one-bedroom within a kilometre of each Tube station on the network.”
