People have been urged to celebrate their sporting heroes by nominating them for upcoming awards.
With less than two weeks to go before nominations close, people in Epping Forest have been encouraged to have their say on the most outstanding contributions to sport in the last year.
The Active Essex Sports Award is run by Essex County Council and has seen a range of people rewarded for sporting events which encourage and increase taking participation.
Sport and physical activity councillor Ray Gooding said: “The Active Essex Sports Awards are an ideal platform for showing the tremendous work of the sports people, clubs, volunteers and various organisations that do so much to promote sport in the county.”
Awards categories include Disabled Sports Personality of the Year and Active Workplace of the Year, with 10 others open.
The closing date for nominations is October 19.
