Pupils dabbled in dance styles at a school event last week.

The year seven boys at Roding Valley High School in Loughton took part in the ‘day of dance’ on Friday (October 2), with instructors from Epping Forest Arts.

A number of workshops were held in styles including contemporary, street, stomp and breakdance, ending in a final rehearsed performance.

Head teacher James Luck said: “The students had a superb time and were really challenged in terms of their fitness levels and their concentration.

“The day was a great way to enrich their curricular experience.

“Hopefully many will take up the further opportunities in dance offered to them outside of school as a result.”
