London Cocktail Week

London Oktoberfest

We Brits have embraced this German festival with open arms and when you step inside this tent in east London expect to be greeted by plenty of lederhosen-clad men, lively music from authentic German bands and the famous gigantic steins containing five per cent beer which has been brewed especially in Bavaria. You'll also be able to soak up the alcohol with traditional bratwurst and schnitzel.

The Crime Museum Uncovered

Uncover details of history's notorious criminals from Dr Crippen to the Krays and famous crimes such as the Great Train Robbery and the Millennium Dome diamond heist. Set up in 1875, until now this macabre collection of police artefacts has been kept under lock and key and only been opened for police professionals and invited guests. But now we can all get a glimpse of the gory details of real-life crimes and find out more about the challenges the police face while trying to keep London legal.

Diwali 2015

Celebrate the Festival of Lights and taste your way around the best of SE Asian vegetarian cuisine, sample the delights of festival sweets and drinks, enjoy plentiful children’s activities, buy colourful trinkets, don a sari and pose for an interactive photograph. Expect a packed line up of the best in contemporary Asian music and traditional religious music and rites to open and close the show. The children's parade will this year re-enact the end of the Diwali story – Lord Rama's victorious return to his kingdom.

In Conversation with Tom Jones

Our favourite singing Welshman has finally written his first ever autobiography Over the Top and Back (published October 8) and will be sharing stories from it and performing songs from the accompanying soundtrack album Long Lost Suitcase. Sir Tom will revisit his past and explores the twists of fate that took him from wartime Pontypridd to global renown in this event which is part of Southbank Centre's London Literature Festival.
