A new beauty salon has started a campaign to help a local children’s hospice.
The Beauty Spot in Chigwell Road raised £330 for Haven House in Woodford Green in a charity raffle at its official launch.
The family-run salon has launched a campaign to raise £1,135 in a year which equates for the price of a child’s care for one night at the hospice for young people with life-limiting conditions.
The raffle prizes included a free tattoo from a neighbouring tattoo parlour, champagne, free beauty treatments and Marks and Spencer’s vouchers.
Anna Ward, who runs the salon with her mother Julie, said: “We really wanted to support a local charity and Haven House has done an important job for children in the area, so it was an easy choice.
“We thought a charity raffle was a good way to launch our business and our clients were very happy to get involved.”
