THREE knives hidden around the borough have been taken off the streets.
Weapon sweeps by officers in Leyton and Walthamstow last week led to the discovery of the blades.
On Thursday, two large knives were found during a weapons sweep in Leyton.
PC Richards and PC Nelson found the weapons.
In Walthamstow High Street officers from the Safer Neighbourhoods Team discovered a kitchen knife.
A range of weapons being concealed in locations in the community have been found by officers in recent months, including a huge ‘zombie knife’.
It is believed they are hidden in public so people can avoid being caught with them on their person.
