Just two months after officially opening and taking its first batch of students, a new sixth form has welcomed hundreds of potential future applicants.

Debden Park High School in Loughton hosted its first open evening on Thursday (November 19), with parents and prospective students told about available courses and plans for a dedicated sixth form building.

Current students manned displays throughout the school and acted as guides, with talks by sixth formers Zoe Earwicker and Sam Latchford.

Sixth form director Sharon Palmer said: “We had a great evening showing prospective year 12 students and their parents what Debden Park Sixth Form has to offer.

“We're immensely proud of our new sixth form and were very pleased with the positive feedback we received.”
