Firefighters from Waltham Abbey and Epping are hosting special Christmas fire station open days next month.
The events will include live chip pan fire demonstrations, games and activities, charity teddy bear parachute jumps and a Santa’s grotto.
Firefighters will also be on hand to give out home fire safety advice and specific Christmas fire safety tips.
Epping Fire Station is raising money for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
Waltham Abbey Fire Station will be serving home-made cakes and refreshments to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support charity.
Bernie Manning, firefighter at Waltham Abbey Fire Station, said: “Open days are a great opportunity for us to meet members of our local community.
“We have lots of fun activities for children, and we will be talking to everyone we can to help them stay safe this Christmas.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone to our fun-filled day.”
Epping Fire Station Christmas Open Day, located in the high street, will take place from 4pm to 8pm on December 4.
Waltham Abbey Christmas Open Day, located in Sewardstone Road, will take place from 10am to 4pm on December 5.
