Year nine school pupils cut some shapes last week as they tried their hand at hip hop dancing.

The pupils from Debden Park High School in Loughton took part in the Cutting Shapes workshops on Thursday (January 28).

Dance teacher Lauren Mason said the moves, the ‘latest craze’ in hip hop street dancing, were assessed as part of their current classwork.

She added: “The Debden Dragons, our KS3 boys dance club, also took part and created a cutting shapes and house routine in preparation for their performance at the Rise dance festival which we hold every year at which other schools come and perform.”
