A woman in her 60s suffered serious injuries when two cars crashed yesterday (February 4).
Essex Police are appealing for witnesses after the collision in Roding Lane between Buckhurst Hill and Chigwell, shortly after 11.20am.
Two cars were involved, a Nissan Micra and a Mini Countryman.
The Nissan driver, a woman aged in her 60s from Woodford Green, suffered serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
The Mini driver, a man aged in his 80s from Ilford, suffered injuries to his arm and was taken to Queens Hospital in Romford.
The road was closed until about 5pm during police enquiries.
Witnesses to the crash should contact Chigwell roads policing unit on 101.
