An Oscar-nominated actor has been spotted in Wanstead.
Tom Hardy, nominated for his role in The Revenant and star of Legend and Mad Max, is filming at St Mary's Church in Overton Drive today for the BBC drama, Taboo.
The 38-year-old plays a character called James Keziah Delaney in the eight-part series about the East India Company, which will air on BBC one later this year.
Crew and cast members have been at the Grade I-listed church since this morning, with fans waiting outside in the hope of spotting the star.
