Over 200 children helped complete a mosaic to celebrate their school’s 200th birthday yesterday.
Pupils at Woodford Green Primary School in Sunset Avenue completed their bicentenary mosaic yesterday with the help of a professional artist.
Throughout 2015 the school raised £1,000 for its bicentenary fund, which they decided would be best used for a mosaic designed and created by the students.
Deputy headteacher Kieran Johnson said: “We are the oldest school in Waltham Forest, so the 200 year celebrations have meant a lot to us.
“We hope the mosaic will last for a long time to celebrate this special point in our history.”
