Five fire crews were called to a house fire today after it engulfed the whole of the first floor.
Firefighters were called to the house in Newman’s Lane, Loughton just before 1pm today, when they found the whole of the first floor alight.
The fire is believed to have broken out in one of the bedrooms, before spreading to the rest of the floor and loft.
At 1.55pm fire services were still tackling the blaze to stop it spreading to the house next door.
