A 16-year-old girl has died after the car she was in crashed.

At around 1.10am on Saturday February 13 police were called to a collision between a BMW and a Mini in Chigwell Road, South Woodford.

A 16-year-old girl who was in the Mini was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two women are still in hospital, with the 19-year-old in a critical condition and the 22-year-old in a stable one.

The 26-year-old male BMW drive was treated for head injuries.

Police previously said the 16-year-old girl who died was in her 30s.

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating and want to speak to anyone who saw the collision or has any information.
