A 17-YEAR-OLD youth from Waltham Abbey has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 15-year-old girl in Town Mead park.
The teenager has been released on police bail untll July 11 pending further police enquiries.
The 15-year-old Waltham Abbey girl told police she had been raped in the park at 8.45pm on Friday.
She claims there were a number of people in the park, including dog walkers, and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
