IT was their first ever soccer tournament but the boys from Ridgeway Rovers U7 side did their club proud as they fought their way through to the final of the Boreham Wood six-a-side competition. After winning their group matches they met the mini Watford side and lost 1-0 in extra time.
Before the recent Boreham Wood event the Rovers team had gone through the season in the Echo Friendly League with an unbeaten record up until Christmas.
Now, spurred on by their success in their first tournament, they plan to go one better this weekend in the Elmbridge Tournament at Hainault.
