Snaresbrook Youth, runners-up in the Echo Premier League U16, are back in east London after a successful tour of Holland when they won two friendly matches played against Dutch teams.

The 15-strong squad made an early start travelling by coach from the club's home ground in Nutter Lane, Wanstead over to Biddinghuizen, east of Amsterdam. But the journey from Dover to Calais and then all the way through France and Belgium didn't affect the team's performance on the pitch.

Snaresbrook enjoyed resounding victories over both their opposing teams - the first against against DSO Ultrajectum in Utrecht and the second against ABS Bathem.

Top goalscorer of the tour was the skilful Josh Woodcock who managed to hammer home five spectacular goals over the two days.

On the last evening of the tour the team took time out to relax as they celebrated both victories which added up to a glorious ending to what has been an immensely successful season for the east London-based side.

Snaresbrook are already back in training for next season when the squad will be putting out an under-17s side in the Echo League.
