Children at Trinity Hall Kindergarten wished the Queen a happy birthday by sending her their own giant birthday card.
Thirty six youngsters at the nursery in Hermon Hill, South Woodford got stuck in with hand painting, glitter and collaging to make their A2-sized 90th birthday card for Queen Elizabeth this week.
Trinity Hall has a history of sending royal greetings cards. The children received an official thank you from Her Majesty after they sent their congratulations on her Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
Nursery practitioner Sharon Phillips said: “The children absolutely loved making the Queen her birthday card.
“They all knew it was her birthday and that she’s called Elizabeth, but I think a few of them thought she was coming to visit them at the nursery.
“We hope we get another thank you from her, the last one was sealed with the official royal stamp and we’ve got it framed on our wall.”
