Trade unionists are planning a May Day celebration with bag pipers, musicians and a guest MP speaker to entertain the crowds.
Waltham Forest Trades Council is having its May Day celebration on Monday (May 2) at Ye Olde Rose and Crown pub in Walthamstow.
A rally in Walthamstow’s town square, in High Street, will kick things off from 7pm and be followed by a march led by two pipers to the Hoe Street pub.
The celebration is a joint effort with Newham and Redbridge Trades Councils and will feature speeches from John Cryer MP and music from Grace Petrie and Maddy Carty.
