A man has admitted causing “life changing injuries” to another in a late-night machete attack.
Paul Saunders, 30, pleaded guilty today (May 3) to causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) in relation to an incident in Loughton High Road on November 6 last year.
A 24-year-old man from Romford was seriously injured in the attack, at about 11.30pm on a Friday night.
It was previously reported that he had one finger cut off and his other hand severed in the attack.
Saunders, of Biggin Lane, Grays, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court to answer a charge of attempted murder.
His guilty plea to GBH was accepted, and sentencing was adjourned until the week of May 23.
