Night Tube services will begin on the Central and Victoria Lines from August, London Mayor Sadiq Khan has announced.

Services on the two lines will run through the night on Fridays and Saturdays from August 19.

Night Tube trains will operate on the Central Line between Ealing Broadway and Loughton or Hainault. Victoria Line services will run the length of the line.

Central Line trains will run approximately every 10 minutes between White City and Leytonstone and every 20 minutes in the opposite direction.

Night Tube services will not stop at Debden, Theydon Bois and Epping.

Victoria Line trains will run on average once every 10 minutes in both directions.

Proposals to introduce 24-hour underground services have proved controversial, with unions striking last year over pay and conditions.

However, a Transport for London struck a deal with unions in March to allow the plans to go ahead, with new part-time tube drivers being trained to deliver the service.

TfL claims Night Tube will cut an average of 20 minutes off nighttime journeys in the captial, as well as boosting the economy by £360 million.
