Waltham Forest council is set to approve plans for a £1.4 million new medical centre in Walthamstow.
The centre, which forms part of a wider redevelopment of land and buildings at 71-81 Sutherland Road and 8 St Andrews Road, is likely to be given the green light at a meeting on Thursday (May 26).
The council entered in to a sale agreement for the land with East Homes Limited (EHL), to provide 59 residential units and a further seven three-story homes.
As part of the deal, EHL was expected to construct a new medical centre, which was initially expected to cost less than £1 million.
However, developers now believe the project will cost around £1.35 million, meaning the local authority must approve the decision separately.
The council will retain the leasehold for the medical centre, which has been pre-let to Lime Tree and Sinnott Healthcare Ltd for a period of 21 years for £50,000 per year.
