THE man accused of stabbing a passenger at Leytonstone Tube station “for Syria” has denied a charge of attempted murder - but has admitted attacking four other commuters.
Muhiddin Mire, 30, of Sansom Road, Leytonstone, is due to stand trial next week after being charged with the attempted murder of a
56-year-old man, who was stabbed in front of several travellers on December 5, last year.
Appearing at the Old Bailey via video link on Tuesday, May 24, Mr Mire pleaded guilty to four charges of attempted wounding after he threatened four people with a knife.
But he denied stabbing a fifth commuter, who required five hours of surgery on a five-inch wound in his neck following the incident.
His trial is due to begin or Tuesday. May 31.
