A fashion student says he feels “on top of the world” after being given an award by a top UK designer at a graduate fashion show.
Sasha Hodjati, of Grove Hill, South Woodford,won the Ted Baker Award for Colour and Print for his collection at an exclusive show in Chelsea on May 16.
As well as the award, the 22-year-old University of Hertfordshire student has got himself a two-week work placement at Ted Baker.
He said: “I feel like I’m on top of the world, it’s an amazing feeling for all my hard work to have finally paid off.
“I’m looking forward to taking my ideas to the next level and excited about working with Ted Baker.
“I owe my success to a positive attitude, not giving up and working on my strengths.”
His course leader Tony Rosella said: “This year’s graduate fashion show was one of the best yet.
“Sasha approached his collection with lots of imagination and creativity.
“I’m proud to have been part of his educational journey and excited about what the future hold for him.”
