More than 30 firefighters battled for three hours to extinguish a blaze, which broke out at a recycling plant.
London Fire Brigade was called at 12.28am on Saturday morning (May 28) to Church Road to respond to reports of a fire.
Six fire engines and 35 firefighters from Leyton, Leytonstone, Walthamstow, Homerton and Tottenham fire stations attended the incident.
A pile of rubbish of approximately 15 tonnes was damaged by the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries.
The fire was brought under control by 3.30am. Authorities are not treating the incident as suspicious.
The blaze marked the second time in a fortnight crews have been called to fires at recycling plants in Leyton, after attending a similar incident in Gateway Road on Sunday, May 15.
