A man’s 15-hour stand-off with police while on the roof of a block of flats has ended in his arrest.
Police were called to reports of man on a roof in Prospect Hill, Walthamstow, at 11.50am yesterday (June 21).
Despite the efforts of the London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade and a police negotiator, the man spent a total of 15 hours on the roof.
At around 2.40am this morning (June 22) the man voluntary came down from the roof and was arrested with an earlier GBH.
Road closures in Prospect Hill were in place throughout the incident which have now been removed.
The man was taken to an east London hospital for his own safety.
