Students at were given expert advice on job and money skills during a workshop with City Airport staff.
Members of the airport’s finance department visited Buxton School in Leytonstone, to give tips on money and hold a mock interview day.
The visit was organised as part of the airport’s volunteering fortnight, which saw staff give up around 375 hours to help in the community between May 31 and June 12.
In total, 51 employees took part in the scheme, offering their time to charities and communities across Waltham Forest, Barking and Dagenham, Newham and Tower Hamlets.
Fabienne Gress, social responsibility executive at London City Airport, said: “Since the airport opened nearly 30 years ago, we’ve grown and developed our relationship with local organisations and charities.
“Once again, our volunteering fortnight provided an excellent opportunity for staff from all parts of the airport to take time out from day-to-day duties and contribute to good causes.”
